Boil Water Order Issued in City of Villa Grove

Illinois American Water has a issued a boil water order for customers in the City of Villa Grove. The boil water order became necessary during a routine maintenance test at the water tank in the city. During the boil water order, customers should bring their water to a rolling boil for five minutes before using water for drinking or cooking. Water is OK for bathing, washing and other common uses.

The boil water order also impacts the Village of Camargo. The village is a sale-for-resale customer of Illinois American Water. The Village of Camargo also is issuing a boil water order for its direct water customers in the village.

After tests confirm the water meets all regulatory standards, impacted customers in Villa Grove will receive a phone call from Illinois American Water informing them the boil water order has been lifted.

The boil water order impacts approximately 1,100 direct water customers in the City of Villa Grove, as well as the Village of Camargo.
