Indiana American Water Places Ogden Dunes Water Treatment Facility Back in Service

(GARY, IND., -- OCTOBER 3, 2021) – Indiana American Water today placed its Ogden Dunes water treatment facility back in service after water sample results confirmed no impacts to its Lake Michigan source water. The company shut down the facility on Sunday evening, September 26, 2021, after reports of a release into Burns Ditch near Portage, Ind.

The company used water from the Borman Park water treatment facility in Gary, Ind. to serve its Lake and Porter county customers during the Ogden Dunes shutdown.
