Missouri American Water Finalizing Work on Little Muddy Interceptor Project in Arnold

Other Arnold sewer work includes ongoing system maintenance to meet demand

ARNOLD, Mo. (April 20, 2020) – Missouri American Water is finalizing work on its Little Muddy Interceptor project, which upsizes and lines sewer mains in the area behind Shady Court sloping toward the Meramec River behind Manufacturers Drive in Arnold.

The work is expected to be completed by the end of April at an investment of $2.7 million.

“When we purchased the Arnold sewer system in 2015, one of the primary challenges was that many of the sewer mains were too small for a growing city. Over the past several years we have fulfilled our promise of investing $5 million to improve the system so it can better serve area customers,” said Debbie Dewey, President of Missouri American Water. “Missouri American Water has the ability to efficiently make needed investments in communities across the state because of our expertise and purchasing power. For a community like Arnold, these investments are critical to support continued growth and development.”

Other ongoing projects in Arnold include manhole lining, minor inflow and infiltration work, and ongoing maintenance to meet customer demand.
