Missouri American Water Receives 90 Percent Satisfaction Rating From Weldon Spring Residents

WELDON SPRING, MO – In June, the City of Weldon Spring in St. Charles County, MO announced that residents and businesses gave Missouri American Water a 90 percent satisfaction for water service in recent survey.

“Water quality and reliability is an area of municipal services that doesn’t receive a lot of fanfare, until there is a water outage or a boil order,” said Mayor Donald Licklider of Weldon Spring. “Missouri American Water Company has had a long history of providing water services to the citizens of Weldon Spring and it is one of those areas that we probably all take for granted, but when you turn on your water you can expect clean and reliable water, and that is in large part thanks to the folks at Missouri American Water Company!”

Missouri American Water provides water to nearly 2,000 customers in Weldon Spring.

“We are extremely proud that Weldon Spring residents are happy with their water service,” said Matt Horan, senior manager of operations for Missouri American Water. “It is important to us that our customers trust that their drinking water is safe, clean and reliable. Our dedicated team of water quality experts and plant operations professionals work to provide high quality water to every tap.”

In the spring of 2021, the City of Weldon Spring hired ETC Institute, a third-party consultant to engage the community to determine their perceptions, opinions and gather input on a variety of municipal services, activities and future priorities.

“The feedback and data collected will be very useful as we re-evaluate city services and make decisions on how and where to best direct limited resources,” said Mayor Donald Licklider.

The city ranked very high in nearly all categories compared to national averages from other cities.
